1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ReadHD ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ReadHD provides an advanced AI-powered reading experience using features including:

Context-Aware AI Anchoring — saves your exact reading position and context in the cloud
AI Vocabulary Builder — provides word definitions and synonyms while reading
Cloud Brain Sync — synchronizes notes, highlights, and reading stats across all your devices
Classic E-Book Library — access to public domain books from Project Gutenberg

The classic e-books provided are in the public domain and sourced from Project Gutenberg. ReadHD's premium subscription grants access to the AI-powered anchoring and sync services that enhance the reading of these books — not the books themselves.

3. User Accounts

To access premium features, you must create a ReadHD account. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

You may delete your account at any time through the App Settings or via our Account Deletion page.

4. Premium Subscriptions & Payments

ReadHD offers the following auto-renewable subscription plans:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
To cancel, go to your Apple ID Account Settings (iOS) or Google Play Subscriptions (Android) and turn off auto-renewal.

No Refund Policy
All subscription purchases are final and non-refundable. ReadHD does not offer refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods, unused features, or accidental purchases. When you cancel a subscription, you will continue to have access to premium features until the end of the current billing period — no further charges will be made after that date. All refund requests must be directed to Apple (iOS) or Google Play (Android) in accordance with their respective refund policies.

5. Content Ownership

You retain all rights to documents and notes you create within ReadHD. We do not claim ownership of your personal content. By using our cloud sync services, you grant ReadHD a limited, non-exclusive license to store and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
Upload malicious content, viruses, or disruptive code
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections relating to limitation of liability and no-refund policy survive termination.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without any warranties, expressed or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReadHD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
