End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a binding legal agreement between you ("User") and ReadHD ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the ReadHD application, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

1. License Grant

ReadHD grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the ReadHD application on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, solely as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service and this Agreement.

2. Restrictions

You agree that you will not:

Modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the application;
Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the application;
Copy, or use the application for any unlawful purpose;
Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the application.

3. Subscription and Payments (Auto-Renewable)

ReadHD offers the following auto-renewable subscription plans that unlock premium features including AI anchoring, cloud sync, reading progress tracking, and AI vocabulary builder:

Auto-Renewal Disclosure (Required by Apple):

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Your subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price as the original subscription.
You may manage and cancel your subscription at any time by going to your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will not receive a refund for the unused portion of the current period.
Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when a paid subscription is purchased.

No Refund Policy All subscription fees are final and non-refundable. ReadHD does not provide refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods, unused features, or accidental purchases. When you cancel, you retain access to premium features until the end of the current paid period — no additional charges will occur after that. All refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple (iOS) or Google Play (Android) in accordance with their respective refund policies.

4. Account-Based Service

ReadHD's premium subscription provides access to account-based services, including AI-powered book anchoring, cloud synchronization of reading progress, notes, highlights, and personalized vocabulary. These features require a registered ReadHD account because all data is stored against your unique user identity in our secure cloud database. By subscribing, you acknowledge that an account is required to activate and use subscription features.

5. Intellectual Property

The application, including all software, design, text, graphics, and content created by ReadHD, is the exclusive property of ReadHD and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Classic e-books available through the application are sourced from Project Gutenberg and are in the public domain.

6. Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the application and destroy all copies.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty

The application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReadHD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of or inability to use the application.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ReadHD is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Apple as Third-Party Beneficiary

You acknowledge and agree that Apple, Inc. is a third-party beneficiary of this Agreement, and that Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
